Mushhusky! is a School Assembly program that originated in the spring of 2001 with the intent to educate and to motivate Elementary and High School students across the U.S. My talking points have always been the Last Frontier of Alaska and mushing (dog sledding). Since 2001 I have been to over 1,500 schools in 35 different states and I've spoken to over 650,000 students about the Last Frontier and mushing. My name is Doug Ruzicka and I am the owner of MushHusky! I am also the proud owner of 20 happy healthy Sled Dogs! My family and I have the joy of living in Alaska. One of our greatest pleasures is spending the fall and the spring of each year visiting schools and bringing a little piece of Alaska to the lower 48.   MushHusky Update: "MushHusky News!"
